IBEJU LEKKI, LAGOS GREE TRADE ZONE

 Dangote to establish Refinery and Fertilizing plant at the Lekki Free           Zone and supply 24-hour power                    to Lagos
  President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote  said plans have been concluded to construct a gas pipeline to address power supply challenges in Lagos State.
He disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the office of the Lagos State governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.
He said; “We also assured him that we are going to do a Gas Pipeline from Bonny (River State) to pass under the sea (to Lagos.) When it is completed, Lagos state will never ever experience blackout. There will be electricity 24 hours a day.”
Addressing newsmen after the meeting with Ambode, Dangote said they also discussed the ongoing construction of the largest fertilizer plant of two to three million tonnes of Uranium and Amonia in the Lekki Free Trade Zone, Ibeju-Lekki.

On the other hand the Lagos state government is taking the Free Zone as their pet program to ensure complete success of the project.

Lekki Port

A modern efficient multi-purpose deep sea port will occupy an area of 135ha for container, liquid and dry bulk cargoes. Design of the port has been developed to comply with the International Marine Organisation standards. The Port will be the key gateway between Lagos Free Trade Zone and Global markets.

Petrochemical Hub

An area of 64ha in the northern part of the zone has been earmarked for the petrochemical zone. Covering an area of 30ha, the tank farms are strategically located to provide direct access between supply and output.
